#Remembering Cagayanons Live?

We all know ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro with PJ dela Pena anchoring TV Patrol Northern Mindanao on Channel 2-Cagayan de Oro City and announcer David Bang  and DJs Chaka Babe, Sweet Maricar, Bernie Bitok-Bitok etc. Read the news and David Bang (too) introduce music cuts on MOR 91.9 Cagayan de Oro. But did you know Cagayan de Oro City has been ABS-CBN territory since 1960?
As per the book Kapitan, Cagayan De Oro De Misamis is one of the cities in Mindanao which ABS-CBN (then as Bolinao Broadcasting) touched base with. It started as radio station DXCL-AM in 1960. (CL means Cagayanons Live.) Besides playing music cuts and hosting entertainment programs, the announcers take turns in reading news stories from Northern Mindanao then. This went on till Martial Law in 1972.
Years have passed before ABS-CBN reopened itself in CDeO. After its 1986 renaissance, ABS-CBN went back on air in Cagayan de Oro in April 1995, this time as a TV station and an FM radio station.
Before David Bang, Boy Negro, Master Popi, Maria Feelingera, Sweet Maricar, Chaka Babe and Bernie Bitok-Bitok, a Cagayanon Live announcer became the voice of ABS-CBN in Northern Mindanao in the 1960.

Pokémon GO is a NO-GO?

The Logo of Pokemon GO (source: Pokemon Company)

The top-rated virtual reality game produced by  Niantic, Inc and The Pokemon Company, the Pokemon GO was born. Pokemon GO is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. It was initially released in selected countries in July 2016. In the game, players use a mobile device’s GPS capability to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on the screen as if they were in the same real-world location as the player. The game supports in-app purchases for additional in-game items. (source wikipedia)

But what kind of Pokemon, they choose them, either Pikachu or Bulbasaur or what other Pokemon will go everywhere using a GPS. But here in the Philippines, Pokemon GO is what would be popularity. There a lots of Pokemon in the Pokestops or any other stops you want.

In other news, there was an incidents by playing Pokemon GO in some roads, pedestrian lanes, even Schools, Churches, Offices, Temples and the like. Pokemon GO will avoid them to play everywhere, according to MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) and Philippine National Police that some of the people caught to playing Pokemon GO in some places.

In Cebu City trial court, there is anote that No Playing of Pokemon in the court. But also in some schools in Cebu City are banned to playing Pokemon GO. Instead, Pokemon GO will confiscated the phones to the Policemens.

According to CBCP, that no one will use Pokemon GO in some Churches, Worship Centers and the like. But during the mass, the Pokemon Go will be silent for a while when leaving the church, it should be used Pokemon Go for a long time.

Recently last August 3, MMDA had to ask the MMDA building into the Pokemon Center or Pokemon Gym, The MMDA said that trainers wearing shorts, slippers, and sando will be denied entry to the building.

It also reminded the public that those who will go to the building during the late hours to train their Pokemons will be apprehended.

“Magdamag na roronda ang aming mga gwardya upang hulihin ang sinumang lalabag,” the advisory said.

So, Bytesters, be safe to play unless it will be confiscated by the police and traffic enforcers to leave. So NO playing of POKEMON GO because it is a NO-GO!
